Job Overview

Our client a well established Insurance Company is looking to hire a person to fill the role of Technical Support Engineer for their office based in Limassol.

The IT department’s role is to establish and maintain all communication systems and equipment as required by regulations, customers and the company management. This includes systems for communication, computer software and hardware.

Key responsibilities include:
Undertaking major IT projects
Following up with latest technologies and Information-Technology-related legislation
Proactively managing the Company’s needs in terms of software and hardware
Closely coordinating with the Head of Departments and managerial staff
Installing and configuring computer systems
Diagnosing and solving hardware & software faults
Participating in the compilation and maintenance of an accurate record of hardware and software
Providing daily support to IT-related requests
Acting as a liaison and coordinator of all IT-related vendors
Acting as a liaison and coordinator of all maintenance vendors (Generator, Air-Conditioners, Lifts, Electricians, etc.)
Performing physical monitoring of services provided by all vendors
Travelling to company branches, island-wide, as to provide support, when required
Participating in training and coaching sessions for Continuous Learning and Development

The ideal candidate will have/be:
Technical school leaving certificate or university degree in Information Technology
Knowledge of hardware and peripherals
Knowledge of Networking & Cisco Telephony, CCNA Certification will be considered an advantage
Windows Server 2008 configuration
Knowledge of Java and HTML
Knowledge of IT Ticketing will be considered an advantage
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek
Must have flexibility and adaptability
Willing to learn new technologies and techniques
Able to excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are required
