Job Overview

The successful candidate must require skills in gaining customer confidence to become their trusted advisor. The principal focus of the work will encompass identifying and working on new propositions for clients, presentations followed by the delivery of consulting engagements. Solution selling makes up a large part of the role. This position requires a self-motivated team player with excellent client-facing skills who can demonstrate both commitment and energy. The successful candidate will form the first point of contact for shipping companies, stakeholders, and maritime organizations.


Job Description

  • Product development – Identifying the need for a new product, this extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems and find innovative solutions for the Shipping Industry.
  • Identifying the clients’ needs and promoting the most appropriate solution
  • Present software solutions and support customers in their use
  • Write proposals and cost solutions, adding value through expertise
  • Provide project management and technical services for multiple clients by managing work schedules and time effectively to address client needs and keep implementation on track

Your profile

  • Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or relevant field
  • 2-3 years of Consulting experience
  • Project Management skills
  • Maritime knowledge will be considered an advantage
  • Leadership skills
  • Customer Focused
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple customers simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment utilizing good judgment and initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and possess a patient attitude to deal with a variety of situations and personalities
  • Strong planning, organizational skills
  • Good judgment to determine if you can assist the customer immediately or need to escalate the issue to an appropriate team member
  • Ability to explain topics in an easy-to-understand language
  • Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel
