Job Overview

Our client, a group of companies in Larnaca, is looking to hire a new team member be part of a team assisting the company with accounting, administrative and secretarial duties.
Accounting duties will be: Bank payments, check the contractor’s business expense reports, review and check suppliers billing, elementary book-keeping support.
Secretarial and administrative duties will be: In addition to the standard secretarial tasks have a solid understanding of the corporate governance requirements in order to assist the director to maintain company’s documentation as we operate worldwide with several affiliated companies in the group.
We need a person with excellent knowledge of English language.

Responsibilities:

Corporate Services
o Standard office administrative practices and procedures
o Assist the director to maintain company’s documentation
o Liaison with local banks with regard to various matters, due diligence and communication with lawyers, banking and other institutions.
o Performing other administrative duties on request;
Secretarial Services
o General office administration duties
o Helping with daily management, correspondence, and note-taking
o Managing and maintaining the executives’ schedule, appointments and travel arrangements
o Be the liaison of staff and management and handle duties for upper management
o Organizing meetings and events
Accounting Services
o Carrying-out simple tasks including financial accounting, elementary book-keeping support, etc.
o Bank payments
o Review and check suppliers billing (Invoices)
o Checking contractor’s business expenses reports based on company’s bespoke software.

Requirements:
Experience in a similar position
Degree in business administration and accounting is a plus
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
Proficiency in computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office, spreadsheets and other technological tools. Ability to learn bespoke packages if required. Handling computer data and information (data visualisation etc).
Excellent command of English, reading writing and speaking
Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures
Effective and dynamic personality to ensure that the executives’ planning schedule will be followed in a timely manner
Very effective at multi-tasking
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Able to work comfortably with numbers and great attention to detail / accuracy and analytical acumen
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong communication skills
Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position.
An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
Ability to be proactive and use initiative
